Dalawang buwan na ko sa Call Center at halos isang buwan na ring kumukuha ng tawag ng mga customer, pero marami nang realization ang naglalaro ngayon sa isip ko. Sa  sobrang dami, di ko na alam kung saan uumpisahan ito.

Una, hindi pala madaling maging isang Call Center Agent lalo na ang maging Technical Support Representative! Sobrang nakakastress lalo na kung first timer ka at wala kang technical background. Kahit pa sabihing nagtraining ka at lahat, mahirap pa din. Parang minsan nga sasakit na lang ang ulo mo at bigla ka na lang magkakasakit. Job related? malamang yun na nga yon.

Pangalawa, hindi din madaling magadjust ng body clock, kahit pa nakatulog ka na ng sampung oras (minsan nga umaabot pa ng 11 eh) parang pagod na pagod ka pa rin at gusto mo pang magpahinga. Di ko alam kung kailan ako masasanay sa ganitong sistema ng schedule.

Pangatlo, ang pinakamahirap sa lahat ay mag assist ng irate na customer. Merong dalawang klase yan: yung isa sa onset pa lang ng call irate na, sinasabi nia na my issue siya pero ayaw naman niya makipagcooperate sa’yo para maresolve yun. At ang sumunod dito e yung mga tao na makitid ang utak! yun bang porke Pilipino ka e ayaw ka nilang kausapin! Sobrang nakakairita talaga!

Ang totoo niyan, di ko talaga alam kung matatagalan ko yung ganitong trabaho, sa iba okay siguro sa kanila dahil at home yung feeling nila sa ganitong career, pero ako, parang maaga akong nabeburnt out! Sobrang tumaas ung blood pressure ko ever since nagstart akong magwork at bumalik nanaman yung pagsakit sakit ng ulo ko na tumatagal ng isang linggo!

Maliban pa sa mga bagay na yan, ang isa pang nagpapahirap sa kin e yung pagabot sa stats! Aminado naman ako na nahihirapan ako sa metrics! Sobrang di ko na rin naiintindihan yung mga ginagawa ko e.

Hay naku! buhay nga naman! Tama! Kailangan ko nga ng trabaho pero sa palagay ko… hindi yung ganito!

Okay, I know this post is late again. I’m sorry, I’ve been very busy lately and I also try to get as much rest  as I can so as not to feel stressed with my new job. I can’t put in the dates anymore because I wasn’t able to keep track of it but let me just give you a run down!

Well, I did passed all the toll gates required in PST and I also passed Berlitz! (Thank God ) So i made it into the 10-day transition period. It’s like an agent’s training ground in taking in actual calls. I really feel nervous at first but after a while, I got used to it. In this transition period, you will be graded based on certain metrics and then if you meet those, you’re sure to pass, and to cut this long story short, I found out yesterday that I did passed that transition stage and were on the post transition period now (by the way from 20 pax, we are now 11 ).

It was really a long and tedious process but I guess the company only wants the best people when they’re already on the floor. As for me, well I know that this is because of God’s help. We were already distributed to different teams and I’ve met my Team Leader (TL) and Member Care Specialist (MCS) yesterday, good thing that they’re nice Again, this is a 10-day post transition period before we hit the floor, I asked my PST trainer yesterday if there’s still a possibility that one of us will be pulled out and he assured me that it won’t happen anymore (not unless of course, you’re not able to meet the acceptable scores for your metrics) and knowing that is actually a relief.

Well good luck to all of us in Wave 53!  I know that we can all make it!

hehehe… I’m sorry for not updating for so long. I’ve been very busy with my “new found” job! Actually, last August super try ako na magapply sa CONVERGYS! so bigyan ko lang kayo ng recap kung anu ano ung mga nangyari since then… And mind you guys, di talaga ako magaling umingles… TH (trying hard ) lang talaga! Pero ayon, nakapasa pa rin and currently on training. Kabado kasi baka bigla na lang akong malaglag diba? sayang naman yung time, money, and effort na nainvest ko diba. So here’s how it goes:

August 27 – Pumunta ako sa Convergys Commonwealth para mag-apply. 3:00 PM na yun! hehehe, lakas ng loob magreport ng ganong oras no?! Pero ayon I was accomodated though. They ask me to log in on their site para ata yun ma trace nila ung progress ng application ko. And then, we are ask to take a technical assessment (it was named as technical assessment 1) so ayun, then after a long wait, 4 of us (me, and the other applicants) were called for an initial interview. Syempre super kinakabahan naman ako diba. pero ok lang naman. The initial interview went on smoothly. And after all of us has finished it, we are asked to wait in the reception area, so after about 10 minutes, the interviewer went out with papers on her hands. It was a letter telling us if we fail or pass the inital screening. So ayun, awa ng Dios pumasa naman ako pero I need to go back the next day for another set of assesments kasi naman mag se-7 pm na non!

August 28 - 9:30 AM na ko dumating kahit pa ang lapit lang ng bahay ko sa CONVERGYS Commonwealth! (Pasaway!), pag dating ko, binigay ko yung testing slip ko sa test administrator then pinag take niya ko ng exam na umabot ng 4 hours!!!! imagine that?! ganun siya kahaba! pero ok lang naman. Carry naman eh! kaya lang super nakakagutom! tapos I was asked to go back at 2:30 to gauge my langugae skills (Sabi ko, hay naku, patay na, dito ako sasabit! ) so pasyal, pasyal muna ako sa Ever Gotesco para mag palipas ng oras. Pag balik ko ng 2:30, they asked me to wait pero since down ang system, di nila maaadminister yung test, meaning kelangan kong bumalik. Since holiday ng Auguts 31, I was scheduled to report on September 1.

Sepetember 1 – As usual, late pa rin ako kasi 9:45 am na ko dumating na dapat eh 9:00 , I waited for my name to be called and then finally a Recruitment Consultant called me in. Final Interview na pala ito.! Akala ko di na ko mgtetake nung language assessment pero I was wrong, ayon pumasa naman ako sa final interview pero bumagsak ako sa language assessment. Ok lang naman din sakin, inisip ko na lang na baka di talaga para sa kin yung pagko Call Center. I also felt that the recruitment consultant was sincere when she says sorry about the result of the assessment. So somehow, I dont feel hurt! Ayun, umuwi na lang ako para kumain. After lunch, I check my cellphone. I have 4 missed calls from a land line phone. Tapos my text message din galing pala yun sa recruitment consultant pinababalik niya ko sa office . So parang nakakita naman ako ng light diba. I was really thinking that they could reconsider me. So ayon pagbalik ko dun, pinag exam ulit ako ng technical test and I was interviewed again pero this time mga techinical terms naman. Tapos nakita ko na lang yung sarili ko na pumipirma ng Employment Contract! Bongga!!!

September 2 – Start na ng CCT (Communication & Culture Training) ko. Sa Makati! Hayst! ayun 6 days din yun. Actually 5 days nga lang halos e. Okay naman, nakilala ko yung mga kawavemate ko. Mababait naman sila and all of them are really willing to help the newbies like me. Ang cool din ng trainor, Rona is her name. Pretty siya and gustong gusto ko ung way ng pag dress up nia! Tapos ang galing niya mag english, minsan nga feeling ko mag nonose bleed na ko. hehehe.

September 8 – Sobrang kabado ako, last day na kasi ng CCT tapos parang feeling ko pa babagsak ako. Pag bumagsak kasi, kelangan mo ng magbalot at maghanap ng ibang work. Pero ayon awa pa rin ng Dios  pumasa naman.

September 9 – Start na ng PST (Product Specification Training) sa UP Technohub. Na meet namin ung bagong trainor namin, Si Ken, mabait pero strict pero okay lang naman. Tapos cool din siya mag dress up, siguro ganon talaga yung mga call center people.

September 19 – Kaninang umaga talaga sobrang nakakalungkot, in one strike, 4 yung nawala sa min. Takot naman din ako dahil baka ako na yung sumunod! Next week 2 days na lang yung PST. Hay! Basta Goodluck na lang saming lahat. At iaupdate ko na lang kayo sa mangyayari.

Gosh!!! 27 years old na ko… Pero sa lahat lahat, Nagpapasalamat ako sa Dios kasi kahit na pasaway ako e may buhay at lakas pa din ako. Wish ko lang sana… hay naku ayoko na nga sabihin! baka di pa matupad! Thank you sa mga nakaalala!

Daddy Long Legs

REVIEW:

A 2005 romantic-drama movie which was adapted in a novel written by Jean Webster. This made me cry because the guy who works in the archive is actually daddy long legs and the time she knew it, he was already dying because of a disease! (x_x spoiler!) I love this drama. I’m not really into watching dramas because I find it boring, I’m more into comedy and romance but his one is an exception.

Antique Bakery

SYNOPSIS:

The story is about the lives of four men who works in a small bakery selling  the best cakes. The owner, Kim Jin Hyeok who ironically don’t like any sweets, has been kidnapped when he was a child. In quest for his abductor, he decide to open the bakery since he remembered he has been fed by cake everyday by that man.

REVIEW:

A 2008 movie adapted from a Japanese manga by Fumi Yoshinaga. This movie makes me clueless on the first part but as the story goes on, the conflicts  are being explained one by one. It was funny maybe because of the chemistry of the four actors. Kim Jae Wook portrays the gay role very well! If you’re looking for a movie which is under a comedy-mystery-drama genre, this one is for you.
